I was born in Vancouver, and have lived and worked here for most of my life. I am very thankful for the support and friendship of my community and am very much aware that this support has been a pivotal factor in the success of me and my team in our business endeavors. We believe in giving back to our community and others around the world as thanks.

Here are a few of the charities that we support. We commend them for the important, and often difficult work they do. Handy links are included below should you wish to learn more.

Since 1940, the Union Gospel Mission has been providing hope for the hungry, hurting and homeless. Its facilities are carefully situated in neighbourhoods of those most in need; particularly between downtown Vancouver and the city of Mission. Though UGM employs a full-time staff, they rely greatly on a broad base of devoted volunteers. Union Gospel Mission offers meals, shelter, education, counseling, housing and much more to hundreds of people everyday.

The GVFBS helps feed approximately 9,000 people each week in various depots situated in Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver and the North Shore. Furthermore, the GVFBS supports over 100 food-serving agencies within these areas, providing help to approximately another 16,000 individuals weekly.

World Vision is a humanitarian charity organization committed to working with children, families, and their communities around the world to better improve their quality of life by determining the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision serves approximately 100 million people in nearly 100 countries worldwide. This organization aims to help all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.

Since 1979, Arts Umbrella has provided the highest quality visual and performing arts education to Metro Vancouver children and youth ages 2-19, regardless of their financial circumstances. The company was founded by a few passionate and artistic parents, and has now become a national leader in children's art education.

Our team is sensitive to the plight of animals as reflected in our ongoing involvement with various animal protection charities around the world.

The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals. This is the only animal welfare organization in BC which has the authority to enforce laws involving animal cruelty and to prepare cases for Crown Counsel for the prosecution of individuals who inflict suffering on animals.

WSPA has promoted animal welfare for over 25 years. They focus on communities of the world where very little, if any, measures exist to protect animals and their well being. Additionally, the WSPA is a watch dog and educator to the general public of the humane treatment of our farm animals, and is a member of the Handle with Care Coalition to Stop the Long Distance Transport of Animals for Slaughter on a global level.

And the help doesn’t stop there.
Below are other foundations we continue to support:

Fauna: A Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Project R&R: Release and Restitution for Chimpanzees in US Laboratories

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee

The Northern Lights Wildlife Society
